Workshop on youth activism in Brčko successfully held: Students learned journalism and volunteering skills
Today, a workshop on youth activism titled "Young People in the Media" was held in front of the Center for Education and Research (CER) in Brčko. The workshop brought together ninth-grade students from the Second Primary School in Brčko, who gained new knowledge about volunteering and newspaper article writing through the training.
In the first part of the workshop, participants had the opportunity to learn what activism is and how they can get actively involved in volunteering in their local community. Through interactive presentations and discussions, the students learned the basics of activism, with particular emphasis on the importance of volunteering as a way to contribute to society.
The second part of the workshop focused on journalism, where young people learned how to structure articles correctly. Divided into three groups, participants were assigned to write articles about fictional events. They took the task seriously and showed great interest in the subject. All the articles were informative and demonstrated the students' potential in writing and critical thinking.
The workshop was successfully completed, and the students left with valuable experiences that will benefit them in their future education and lives. CER once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering young people through educational activities.
