Centar za edukaciju i istraživanje (CER) Bijeljina and the Vermont Youth Centre in Brčko organised the distribution of humanitarian aid packages today to families in need in four local communities in Bijeljina: Filip Višnjić, Novo Naselje, Vuk Karadžić and Bogdanović Plac.
The Mayor, Mićo Mićić, also attended the distribution of humanitarian aid packages and said that he was satisfied with the cooperation with CER to date and supported its work, especially its humanitarian initiatives.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Stojanović Mill, which supported this initiative by donating a large quantity of flour used in the packages. In addition to this staple, the packages contained food products such as oil, eggs, pasta, sugar, sweets and more,” said Mladen Dokić, CER director.
“In its two years of operation, CER has organized and supported a large number of activities of this kind, such as distributing 300 gift packages before New Year’s to children from socially disadvantaged families as well as children with special needs, providing scholarships to students, donating computers and other equipment, and last Saturday we also collected money for little Milica Tanasić, who needs 60.000 euros for surgery. In addition to charitable activities, CER works to educate and engage young people in order to respond to and meet their needs,” added Dokić.
