Eighteen-year-old Marija Ostojić, a student at Bijeljina’s School of Economics, was crowned Miss Semberija on Saturday evening at a competition held as part of the Miss Republika Srpska and Miss Bosnia and Herzegovina pageants for 2016, at the Bijeljina Cultural Center.
Radmila Todorović was first runner-up and Dragana Trišić second runner-up. Leontina Rosić was named Miss Charm, while Bojana Filipović won Miss Audience.
The new Miss Semberija, Marija Ostojić, says she is surprised and delighted by the title.
“I competed for this title last year as well, so I wasn’t very nervous. This has been an extraordinary life experience for me. As for my plans and hobbies, I love singing and drawing, and I enjoy having my photo taken,” Ostojić said.
Marija says she plans to enroll in the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and will also try, as she puts it, to pursue modeling.
This year, the Miss Semberija pageant was organized under the sponsorship of Total TV, with support from the Center for Education and Research, the GradBijeljina.eu portal, and numerous sponsors and media partners. The Miss Semberija pageant was held under the motto “Beauty with a Purpose and Better Education.”
