Local Employment Partnerships

The International Labour Organization (ILO) began implementing a new three-year project in February 2016. The project, funded by the European Union, is called “Local Partnerships for Employment” and aims to promote a sustainable, partnership-oriented active labour market at the local level. The project is part of the EU Local Development and Employment Programme, which represents the continuation of certain activities of the Flood Recovery Programme in the area of economic recovery in flood-affected areas. It will also support local economic development and local non-governmental organisations. The total project value is 4,4 million euros, of which 3 million euros is earmarked for grants to local communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina to support job creation and local development through the institutionalisation of cooperation among local stakeholders.

The ILO invites all interested local self-government units, business owners, educational institutions, employment offices, and non-governmental organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina to attend the project presentation and learn about the opportunities to apply for the aforementioned grants.

The presentation will be held in 12 cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with those closest to Bijeljina being:
