To gain additional knowledge needed to apply to calls for proposals issued by the Norwegian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, representatives of the Center for Education and Research (CER) took part today in a training session held at Hotel Jelena in Brčko.
In the packed hotel hall, representatives of civil society organizations from Brčko and surrounding areas had the opportunity to learn about all the requirements that must be met for a project proposal to be accepted by the embassy. During the two-hour presentation of the call for proposals, representatives of the Norwegian Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina noted that there are two funds of the Kingdom of Norway available in our country. The first is the Embassy Fund, while the second is intended to strengthen the capacity of civil society. The ultimate goal of these funds is to improve cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Norway, as well as to help Bosnia and Herzegovina become a full member of the European Union. Some of the priority areas include the rule of law, judicial and defense reform, human rights, the fight against corruption, economic development and job creation, national minorities, young people, women and children, as well as clean energy and climate adaptation, which was introduced as a new area this year and will receive funding in the future. In addition to the presentation of the call for proposals, participants received guidance through active participation and asking questions, enabling them to write a high-quality project proposal correctly.
