25. Jajarijada

To mark the major Christian holiday of Easter, the 25. Jajarijada was held in Bijeljina, with 67 contestants competing for the hardest egg and 21 for the most beautiful egg.

This event was organized by the Cultural Centre, Centar za edukaciju i istraživanje (CER) and the Bijeljina Tourism Organization.

Jovan Bujinović won the hardest-egg competition, while Milena Simić received the prize for the most beautiful egg.

Representatives of CER, one of the event’s organizers, point out that Jajarijada attracts more visitors every year, and that the youngest residents of the City of Bijeljina are generally the ones who enter the competition.

The event was supported by Hotel “Drina,” which provided the winner with a “Wellness” gift voucher; Alma Ras boutique and Maslačak, which provided gift vouchers; and San Marko and Mozart pastry shops, which donated cakes for the winners in both categories.
